Pakistan Vs. England: A Defeat To Favorites Can Bring Hopes To Men In Green
June 2, 2019
Pakistan is in a profound dilemma after they crumbled to defeat against the West Indies. Now they are scheduled to face the tournament favourites England who won against South Africa going against the pitch conditions.
The Trent Bridge gave Pakistan a severe headache with a sudden gust of bouncers thrown by the Windies. To come out of this form slump, Pakistan needs to win this game direly, or this can give them mental pressure.
Pitch Conditions And Weather
Trent Bridge provided a good bounce to seamers and watching the pitch map of best bowler in both the team it tells us how is the behaviour. The reports say a similar pitch is being curated which gave record-breaking 481 last year. This can possibly give us a run-fest but it is the players who will guide the game.
There is no figure of downpour toward the beginning of the day. From 2 PM onwards to 4 PM toward the evening, the sky may open up. From 1 pm onwards, a lot of mists will be there. The temperature will drift around the 18 degrees Celsius. The humidity will be during the 50s.
England in the last game turned the proved the numbers wrong. An excellent strike by Ben Stokes tells that what form he is currently having. The outfield catch is another thing to take note. Johnny Bairstow needs to get all gears appropriately fitted to avoid getting ducked again.
The Batting top order looks very powerful and with Jos Buttler not performing as expected but he knows how to blow firecrackers. Jofra Archer’s selection hasn’t shown its colors yet but we can expect him to be the X-factor.
Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan (C), Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler (WK), Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Liam Plunkett, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid
One of the most consistent side for inconsistency. The Proteas have the best chance to have this World Cup going to their case. The team has good core players with them and might be the best till now. They are entering the tournament with a white-wash to Sri Lanka and a series win against Pakistan.
Quinton De Kock, Kagiso Rabada, Luigi Ngidi are some young gunners of the team with a backpack of good form with them. Faf du Plessis, Dale Steyn, Hashim Amla might be playing their last World so they need to start with a full throttle this time.
Imam-ul-Haq, Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Sarfaraz Ahmed (c & wk), Mohammad Hafeez, Asif Ali, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Amir
Final Conclusion and Predictions
Pakistan’s current position is like taking out rabbit from the hole, and if they do it which seems impossible, it would be wonders.
England is again facing Pakistan, and they can again not let them conquer in their home.
I can surely say that this game will be won by England.
