Kl Rahul & Sam Curran opens for KXIP

Rahul falls cheaply

A full, straight ball from Chris Morris does the job as it gets Rahul tries playing across the line, only to miss it in front of middle and leg. The umpire didn’t save him, nor did the review. 15/1

Curran falls after quick fire cameo

Promoted to open, he falls after a brisk 20 from 10, off Lamichhane 36/2

Mayank Agarwal runs-out himself

No, there’s not been another Mankad incident but Agarwal has been caught absent-minded at the non-striker’s end. He’s taken too much of a start, then wandered out further, even as Sarfaraz’s drive was hit straight to short extra cover, Where Shikhar Dhawan doesn’t make a mistake.

Sarfaraz, Killer Miller accelerates Kings XI’s batting

Sarfaraz Khan is playing a gem of a knock by batting higher up for Kings XI. His strokeplay, driven by innovation, has injected momentum into the innings for the hosts who were in a spot of trouble at 58/3 not long back. Miller’s kept him good company for a brisk fifty-run stand.

Lamichhane gets Sarfaraz

On a pitch that’s not offering much, the leg-spinner has delivered a telling blow with the wicket of Sarfaraz to finish with figures of 2/27.

KXIP falters in last 5 overs

The back-to-back wickets of Sarfaraz and Miller sent the hosts in a tumbling condition. Their lack of batting depth was exposed as DC fought back strongly in the final five overs, which went for just 37, and yielded 5 wickets.

Kings XI pulled back to 166

Delhi Capitals need 167 to win

Shaw goes for Golden Duck!

Some confusion as Shaw walks up for a chat with Dhawan, but then decides against the review. On the money straight away from R. Ashwin first up, with his under-cutter skidding through from a good length and taking a faint outside edge. Shreyas Iyer comes in.

Recovery in progress for DC

It had been a fine recovery after the first-ball wicket of Prithvi Shaw. Shreyas Iyer and Shikhar Dhawan had set the momentum with some sizzling strokes to take DC close to 50 within the powerplay.

Shreyas Iyer departs

He plays a rash drive away from the body, after having driven Viljoen to the fence earlier in the over, saw the end of captain Iyer, who fails to capitalise on yet another start.

Carrom ball gets The-one

Dhawan tries to cut the carrom ball bowled by R. Ashwin but he’s cramped for the room and caught plum-in-front.

These two wickets have kept Kings XI in the game

The chase is still on for DC

Rishabh Pant and Colin Ingram have kept the scoreboard ticking equation says 61 needed in 7 overs.

Update on Gayle’s condition

So the news it that the Universe Boss is down with a fever, thus he has been rested out today. No worries he’ll be back until the next one.

Pant is castled by Shami

What-a-comeback by KXIP here. Pant goes downtown against Shami, but is castled by a fast one off the very next delivery.

Chris Morris gets run-out

He goes for a single which was not even there to , off the first ball and Ashwin hits direct from mid off to dismiss him. DC’s last recognised batting pair in the middle now. Ingram the key for the visitors.

Oh my god! And Ingram falls too.

He plays a shot off Curran straight to long on where Karun Nair takes a good catch. And Harshal Patel falls in the same over as well, edging behind. KXIP are all over DC now.

What a turnaround for KXIP!

KXIP have come back from the dead! Delhi Capitals were cruising towards victory at 144/3 with 23 needed off 21 balls. Just a few balls later they find themselves staring at defeat at 148/8.

Curran gets Hat-trick!!!

Where are all those who people who believed KXIP spent too much for Sam Curran? He has responded in fabulously. He dismisses Harshal Patel, Kagiso Rabada and Sandeep Lamichhane out off three balls, to take a memorable hat-trick and finish the job off!

Sam Curran ends with four wickets for just 11 runs, and KXIP have snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.

KXIP wins by 14 runs, and now they have three wins in four games in this year’s IPL.
